A conversation between UGM Gallery Maribor and Loredana Gaiță connecting Water at Work with reCITYing, the European initiative exploring how unused urban spaces can be reactivated through architecture and art. Starting from experiences in Timișoara and Maribor, the talk considers how working with existing buildings, natural cycles and temporary interventions can open new possibilities for spaces already present in the city.
Water at Work. Water as Infrastructure by Loredana Gaiță was developed in cooperation between UGM | Maribor Art Gallery and Beta – the Timișoara Architecture Biennial within the framework of the ReCITYing. Reactivating unused urban spaces through architecture and arts project (CREA-CULT-2023-COOP), co-funded by the European Union through the Creative Europe Programme.
