About Sonia Sobrino Ralston & Oana Frentiu
Sonia Sobrino Ralston is a designer, researcher, and educator. She currently serves as an Assistant Teaching Professor in Landscape Architecture and Art + Design at Northeastern University in the College of Art, Media and Design. Educated as a landscape architect and architect at Harvard and Princeton respectively, her current projects focus on the ways that plants and information systems collide, and the broader implications this has on social, political, and labor structures. She has taught multidisciplinary courses on environmental themes at Northeastern University and the University of Pennsylvania, and assistant curator for the 2022 Tallinn Architecture Biennale. She received the Architectural League Prize in 2024 as part of the collective Office Party. Her writing has been published in the Avery Review, CARTHA, and Urban Transformations, and her work from installation to video has been exhibited globally.
Oana Frentiu is a self-taught herbalist with a deep commitment to sustainability and responsible foraging. With a background in political science and over a decade of experience in qualitative market research, she chose to pursue a more fulfilling path, one that embraces the beauty and richness of nature. This shift led her to establish Doda Natural, a brand dedicated to bringing the best of nature into skincare routines by emphasising simplicity and purity. Each product is meticulously handcrafted by Oana using time-honoured recipes that prioritise essential, natural ingredients. This hands-on approach ensures that every skincare solution is authentic, effective, and aligned with her belief in the power of nature and the value of artisanal craftsmanship.
