About Adis is OK
Adis Is now OK and has one foot halfway between his habitat and the clubs opening anew on the other sides of the planet. The takeaway of the moniker fix up is a smooth sound revival of the bouncy bass, bubbly harmony and arpeggio dynamo of the gilded age of the synthesizer - be that then or now.
After a lucky pre-closure roundtrip of SE Asia - landing the airship in Shanghai’s EDITION, Hanoi’s Savage and playing for ELEPHANT in Manila, - he then reimmersed into the Budapest scene and since have had the pleasure to share a stage for a night or day with Palms Trax, DJ Tennis and Orpheu The Wizard. Over years, acts and places once only for his intrigue gradually became colleagues with whom friendships brew: that’s how he stirred up Wilde Renate’s 16h birthday, Amsterdam’s Radio Radio or Ghizli Bahce in Istanbul.
Scanning the shores of italo and indie and overlooking the iridescent blue skies of hedone dotted with leftfield edits and picks unearthed from Japan to Italy keep Adis ever busy. In the time remaining he goes by Andris Kuruz and works at keeping his birthplace locale in the global nexus. Residencies in PONTOON and Toldi, staples of clublife in Central Europe share his attention with curating the lineup at SANTSAT. This latter, co-created by him, is one of the spiciest up-and-coming daytime event rarities of the area, emphasizing a fine-tuned synthesis of bookings, set design and specialty natural locations.
