Vlad Nancă

Vlad Nancă studied at the National University of Arts in Bucharest. His early works explored nostalgia, the memory of late socialism and the transformations that reshaped Eastern Europe. These investigations later expanded toward reflections on architecture and landscape. Drawing on archival materials and references from art and architectural history, he develops sculptures, objects and installations. For this project he collaborated with Monumental Iconic, specializing in large-scale mosaics and frescoes, and Ira Merzlichin.

For the 2026 edition, he collaborates with Otilia Fiastru in the program Office in Residence.
