Stardust Architects & Andreea Tron
Architects / Designer, Romania, Switzerland
Anca Nechita-Cioarec and Brîndușa Tudor founded Stardust Architects in 2011 in search of poetic experiences in the design process, aiming to slow down the automatic use of everyday objects and spaces by creating moments of stillness, presence or wonder. Their interests focus on questioning current forms of architectural education and professional practice, reformulating and testing alternative approaches through student workshops, competitions, and independent initiatives.
Andreea Tron is a Romanian designer based in Switzerland, working at the intersection of craft, technology, and regenerative design. With a background in architecture, textile and fashion design, she brings an interdisciplinary approach to material innovation, exploring textiles and biomaterials through non-extractive processes. Her research is practice-based, using making as a method to question and reimagine systems of production. From 2017 to 2022, she led Atelier Tron, a studio dedicated to textile design and exploring traditional knowledge. She currently designs functional apparel for a Swiss outdoor brand and in the same time envisions futures where craft, technology, and circularity co-evolve as part of a shared system.
