SAVAȘOM
Architects, Romania
Diana Sava (b. 1996, Suceava) and Mihai Șom (b. 1996, Ploiești) share a common architectural path that began at UAUIM Bucharest, continued through collaborations with offices in Switzerland and Belgium, and developed through joint academic, cultural, and professional projects.
As members of the NOSTOS collective, they co-organized exhibitions in Bucharest (2018) and Brussels (2019). Their practice has been shaped by both built work and ongoing research: they won two competitions organized by the Herculane Project, resulting in the construction of two wooden structures in Băile Herculane (2019 and 2020), and they are part of the winning team of the Lacul Morii Park competition in Bucharest, which is currently under construction.
Since founding SAVAȘOM OFFICE in 2023, they have collaborated with other architectural studios on both public and private projects and they continue to develop projects together through a collaborative process that combines research, experimentation, and built work.
