MBL
Architecture studio, France
Paris-based MBL is an architecture studio founded by Sébastien Martinez-Barat and Benjamin Lafore and later joined by Florian Jomain. Their work spans construction, publications, teaching, object design and exhibition making, approaching architecture as a form of investigation and eclectic production. MBL’s approach as architect-researchers moves beyond questions of form, style and typology to focus on process and methodical experimentation, where research-based architecture can yield unexpected outcomes.
In the 2026 edition, they are also collaborating with Monadnock, a Rotterdam-based architecture practice founded by Job Floris and Sandor Naus.
