Project description in English
The art installation "Dreaming" explores the poetics of memory through elements and materials contextualized through tradition, thereby questioning personal and inherited understandings about the preservation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage. The choice of space for the realization of an artistic installation is important for the author for several reasons, primarily as a place of daily residence, regeneration and personal self-examination. On the other hand, the material from which the art installation was made, fallen branches of a willow tree, was collected right within the memorial park, every day, for a few months. Therefore, the idea was to return it as a discarded material to the space of the memorial park in a new form, which represents a peculiar process of recycling and circulation of materials in nature. The size of the art installation varies in relation to the position of the elements in the space of 180-220 cm.
