Project description in English
For students in architecture, a day spent outside the usual learning environment, in an old building materials factory, is a revealing experience enhanced with many sensory details. In the industrial building with tall halls and bright windows, time seems to have stood still. The hot air is charged with the smell of fresh concrete, dust, and the sounds of machinery. The factory emanates a distinct beauty, bearing the imprint of the pioneering era from the beginnings of industrialization, recalling the audacious spirit of those times.
Structural elements for new and exquisite constructions are produced in this precast concrete plant built 70 years ago and recently revitalized in the local economy,
The students' visit is documented through black and white photographs that capture the essence of these learning moments and revive an old story from technical and architectural history. The outside construction lesson becomes a spatial and sensory experience about transformation and innovation, about evolution and change.
