Project description in English
The only metal element that can be found in a liquid form under normal conditions – mercury – is a paradox of weight and fluidity that can be also found in the heavy looking sheet, in the metallic texture of an exterior curtain. The apparent weight of the textile sheet is intertwined with the lightness of a wind breeze. Next to the concrete elements, the metallic weight becomes more fluid in contrast with the monolith. Thus, the simple cover of an exterior terrace can generate a discourse of contradiction. And the only way to capture this - that would make sense - was also metal based. Silver / argentique – mediu format film photography, adds to the fineness of accurately representing the metallic reflexions.
