Un spațiu multifuncțional modern pentru filme, concerte și evenimente culturale, în inima orașului
Cinema Timis is the second restored heritage movie theater of the city. Reopened in October 2023 and managed by the Center for Projects, it is becoming one of the largest and most modern venues in the city's cultural circuit.
Located right in Victoriei Square in the center of Timișoara, Cinema Timiș was built in the 1980s and operated until 2017 under the administration of RADEF Romania Film, being the last of the city's long-standing traditional cinemas to halt its activity. The cinema's basement was home to the beloved Club 30, known for live concerts and retro music parties.
Following the renovation completed in October 2023, Cinema Timiș has been transformed into a multifunctional space, which will keep in its program offer the two components that have made it famous: film screenings and musical concerts.
Clădirea renovată a Cinema Timiș cuprinde:
- o sală principală pentru proiecții de film, concerte și alte evenimente, cu o capacitate de 529 locuri pe scaune, dotată cu ecran fix de cinema, proiector digital, sistem de sunet pentru cinema și instalaţie auxiliară de sunet pentru evenimente;
- o sală multifuncțională la subsol, în spațiul fostului Club 30, care poate acomoda până la 120 de persoane, dotată cu ecran retractabil și videoproiector, sistem de sunet profesional și mobilier modular
- 3 săli de 50, 40 și respectiv 35 de metri pătrați, dotate cu ecrane interactive și mobilier modular, care pot găzdui cursuri, workshopuri și alte evenimente cu un număr restrâns de participanți.
Cinema Timiș mai dispune de un hol de acces și un foaier generos, de peste 100 de metri pătrati, precum și de o zonă de cafenea, la frontonul stradal, și alta de bar, la subsol.
