Text presentation of the author/office in English

A+noima is an architecture studio founded in 2017 in Iași, Romania. Through simple gestures, bright ideas and a responsible approach towards resources, A+noima creates and shapes meaningful experiences that enrich people's lives. From „factories and mills” to cribs and dens, A+noima conceives spaces that offer, with generosity, more than a response to a given problem. They give more space, more light, more utility or simply joy.

Project description in English

The Park Tribune is a 8-bench amphitheater with custom benches located in the courtyard of Cornești Secondary School in Iasi County. The pupils needed a more suitable recreation place in the schoolyard, therefore, the reorganization of the outdoor space focused on the area with the best view over the sports field and the surroundings. The architectural solution was chosen together with the children, starting from the land attributes and their appetite for sports as well. The project sought to offer the children an alluring, multifunctional space that would feel personal and could stimulate their interest in learning and staying in school. The landscaping approach offers more than one experience. The gallery is a comfortable, safe space for relaxation and socializing during the breaks, but serves as an alternative context for classes, a grandstand for the matches and a theatre for school celebrations, too. The playful backs of the benches, made from fiber cement, are reminiscent of football cards, while their shape and rhythm evoke the arches of the school porch.
