Project description in English

The new project for Radisson blu, Bucharest, targets the interior pool - courtyard of the hotel. The vision was to transform the sun-drenched courtyard, devoid of character into functional and versatile space that meets the needs of relaxation, socializing and family activities. The concept blends contemporary design with Mediterranean aesthetics and natural elements, in order to provide an enchanting oasis for guests. The space is structures into a few distinct areas for relaxation, socializing, and family fun. The key elements are: Central pool area: Still one of the most central pools in Bucharest, the pool is surrounded by sunbathing zones, equipped with loungers, daybeds and gazeboes. Pool Bar Lounge: The adjacent pool bar lounge features an open-air bar designed with natural materials and neutral colors. A palette of soft beiges, whites, and earthy tones with wooden decking and structures, and soft fabrics evoke a Mediterranean seaside retreat Family and Kids-Friendly Area: For family and kids-friendly amenities, an interactive play zone with eco-friendly play structures is included to engage younger guests. A family lounge area surrounds the playground, with seating that allows parents to monitor their children. The focal points of this revitalization are the installation of shaded areas, composed of wooden pergolas and rope canopies. These are strategically positioned to provide adequate shade and also reduce the visual impact of surrounding buildings, around and above, redefining the spatial experience. The design uses natural and neutral colors, combined with wooden elements and soft fabrics, to achieve a Mediterranean aesthetic. Through a balance of form and function, the courtyard now serves as a harmonious blend of sheltered retreat and open-air social hub. The architectural redesign has redefined the spatial qualities of the once desolate area, establishing it as a unique and inviting destination within the urban fabric of Radisson Blu Bucharest.
