Text presentation of the author/office in English

A+noima is an architecture studio founded in 2017 in Iași, Romania. Through simple gestures, bright ideas and a responsible approach towards resources, A+noima creates and shapes meaningful experiences that enrich people's lives. From „factories and mills” to cribs and dens, A+noima conceives spaces that offer, with generosity, more than a response to a given problem. They give more space, more light, more utility or simply joy.

Project description in English

Mille Mulini is an interactive installation of 1,000 windmills placed in the courtyard of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences in Iași. The project was created for the Romanian Creative Week 2023 festival. The installation has three components. 1) The square, with a distinct spatial layout in the local landscape, symmetrically organized around a central focal point. - the 'wind flowers' - 120 cm windmills, handcrafted and arranged in an orthogonal grid, highlighting the architecture of the space. The windmill evolves as a contemporary flower, exuding playfulness while remaining connected to the current challenges. 2) The fountain, which serves multiple purposes: elevated walkway, seating, and mirror. 3) The octagonal pool, initially non-functional, is covered with a circular wooden platform, coated with reflective paint. Mille Mulini serves as a participatory art project meant to induce a memorable experience of nostalgia and joy, as well as fostering personal and societal reflection.
