About Tremaine Emory
Tremaine Emory, founder of his artistic moniker Denim Tears, is a modern-day Renaissance man. Utilizing the art of visual storytelling (by dint of his clothing designs) as a Trojan horse to traverse the intersection between fashion, music and culture, Emory has forged a fast-growing reputation as a visionary agent provocateur and countercultural catalyst. Amplified through creative playground No Vacancy Inn, his ability to widen the current cultural lexicon through collaborations centered on contemporary art are relayed as some of the most designative IRL cultural touchstones to date.
Born in Harlem, Georgia and raised in Jamaica, Queens, New York, Tremaine has avalanched himself as an edifying tour de force. His cross-generational group of collaborators and co-conspirators reads like a ‘who’s who’ of subculture today: Theaster Gates, Hank Willis Thomas, Virgil Abloh, Frank Ocean, André 3000, Cactus Plant, Comme des Garçons, and Serge Becker, among many others.
