About Romansoff

Tudor Gheorghe, also known by his stage moniker Romansoff, is a Bucharest-based DJ, producer & vinyl collector with more than 12 years of experience on Romania’s capital underground club scene. Heavily influenced by the small local underground parties in the 2000s, Romansoff was motivated to begin collecting vinyl, which soon led to him starting djing. This, alongside his natural talent and dedication, has helped him become an important member of Bucharest’s electronic music scene and he has shared decks with many guests over the years.

He gathered more attention after he started producing and releasing music on his own imprint, called Raw Tools, in 2013. Since then he has released on several labels such as Lobster Theremin’s sublabel Mork, Creme Organization, Cosmin TRG’s label, Sportiv and Solar Phenomena, among others. His latest outing was on the first digital compilation released by Les Yeux Orange, back in 2020.

In 2018, Tudor started working on a new project, together with a collective of trusted associates and like-minded people, opening a new summer outdoor venue in Bucharest, called Platforma Wolff, which became a proper club in 2021. The venue has hosted events with headliners such as Orpheu The Wizard, DJ City, Moxie, Barbara Preisinger, John Gomez, Paramida, DJ Fett Burger, Lauren Hansom and many others. Since 2023, Tudor has left the club to focus on his architecture studio, but he remains a regular DJ at the venue, where he has invited many artists such as DJ D.Dee or Paula Temple.

With varying dj influences, showing both versatility and creativity, he’s a regular guest at many of Bucharest’s best club nights. Having a vast musical background and quite a few interesting projects on the side, such as his own radio show on Black Rhino Radio and a future track to be released on Piers Harrison’s Mysticisms label, Romansoff is a key figure of the Bucharest's music community.
