About Misiūna / McCarthy
Misiūna / McCarthy is a design firm based in Vilnius, Lithuania and Chicago, United States founded by Rūta Misiūna and Jacob McCarthy in 2021. Rūta and Jacob were frequent collaborators in graduate school who found synchronicity in their different backgrounds and design approaches. After graduation, Rūta returned to her home country and Jacob his home city.
While looking for jobs they worked together on a competition entry for the Radvila Museum. Shortly after, they made their collaboration official by establishing Misiūna / McCarthy. Over the last three years, the office has completed public and private projects in Lithuania and the United States. They are currently working between two continents on interiors for apartments, churches, a retreat, a mikvah, a windmill, and some garages.
