Kadjavsi

Musician, Romania

Kadjavsi began in 2017 as a project that focused primarily on improvised ambient piano ambient soundscapes recorded by Bucharest-based musician Nikita Dembinski. Some of these albums, such as "Breaks That Friend Your Heart" and "A Bounding Situation", were released on cassette through local independent label Beach Buddies Records.

Later, Dembinski wanted to move forward in music production and released his first single in 2021, called "Each Day", where he debuts as a lyricist and vocalist, changing the musical style of the project by making his first alternative pop song.

Influenced by some of Britain's most prestigious artists such as James Blake, Squid, Black Country New Road and The Smile, Dembinski set out on a journey where his lifelong exposure to music, theater and film merged into an immersive experience through his live performances.

Kadjavsi's live concerts are often accompanied by visual backing, with no shortage of the dramatic yet authentic lyricism of their debut album Second Sun. Following the release of their most recent track "Castillo", Kadjavsi began working on new material, laying the groundwork for the upcoming album, "Albatross", which will be released in 2025.
