About Juan Pablo Abalo
Juan Pablo Abalo is an academic, performer, producer, and composer with a long career spanning genres from contemporary music to pop. In 2019, he won the Pulsar Award for Best Electronic Music Artist for the album Suono. Abalo has worked recomposing traditional repertoire. In 2015, he recorded a recomposition of Claude Debussy's Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun. In 2022, he included a miniature version of Mahler's Adagietto on his album Blanco, and recently produced and recomposed the music for Pablo Larraín's film El Conde. This year, he released the album Nocturno.
