About Cosmin Nicolae
Cosmin Nicolae is a writer, director and composer working with cinema, music and text to produce works with a focus on memory, landscape and identity. Having released a multitude of recordings and toured the globe as an electronic music producer for more than a decade, Cosmin Nicolae has expanded his practice to include forays into filmmaking.
Recent projects include music for theater such as ‘Oedipus Rex’ for Teatro Greco di Siracusa (dir. Robert Carsen) and compositions for contemporary dance such as ‘Oh Captain’ by Johnny McMillan for Staatsballet Berlin among others. His debut feature film, Body Territory, is currently in production, to be shot in Romania in 2025. Based in Berlin, works worldwide.
Cosmin TRG will also perform a DJ set for the Beta 2024 Opening Weekend.
